How do I search in Library SmartSearch?

Help with accessing Library SmartSearch and setting up a search.

Answer

Library SmartSearch gives you access to Kish Library books, eBooks, and online resources, plus over 4.5 billion resources available online.

Type your topic or keywords in the search box and some results will come up on your screen.

Notice the yellow banner underneath the search box asking you to sign in.  Sign in using your MyKish Kish ID Account.

Notice the "Tweak My Results" section on the left side of the screen.  You can select certain types of sources in the "Resource Type" section (such as books, eBooks, articles, etc.)  You can also go to the "Date Published" section and limit your results by year.

As you scroll down the list of results, click on the title of a source and you’ll get more information about the source and how to get the full text if it is available, or request the book from Kish Library or I-Share.
